Swim Section

1.5km – Nqweba Dam

The 1.5km swimming leg of the Olympic Event will start at the Camdebo National Park Boat Club premises at the Nqweba Dam and is made up of 2 x 750m legs. Swimmers will head towards the wall, around the buoys, and back towards the first boy where you will head out for the second loop. Once you have completed the second loop the swimmer will swim back towards the transition area on shore.

Cycle Route

40km – Off-Road

Once finished with the swim leg, competitors will transition into their cycling gear for the 40km cycling leg. Competitors will cycle trough town and take a right turn which will take them through the Sunday’s River bed, up and onto Mountain drive where they will turn right and continue until they reach the Murrayburgs road where they will take a left. They will continue on this road and turn at the turn around point. Heading back a short distance they will take a right into the Camdeboo National Park where they will be treated to some excting and spectacular dirt track riding. Once back at the Camdeboo Nation Park entrance cycling will take a right and head back into town and into transition 2 which is on the Union High School field.

Run Route

10km – Road

The 10km running leg will start at Transtion 2 on the Union High School field. Runners will head through town and out towards the Graaff-Reint dam. They will run over the Nqweba dam wall and back into town where they will take a right onto mountain drive which runs into the Sundays river bed and back into town to for the home stretch through town and back onto the Union Hight School field.
